This is a group workshop designed to teach you studio lighting, posing, and Photoshop. Why is it called Ten For The Weekend?  Because I believe that smaller class sizes are the best way to learn, so I limit each workshop to 10 people.

The weekend starts on a Friday afternoon, where we'll kick off with the basics of studio lighting, including how to set up several lighting scenarios.  During dinner that evening we'll have a round-table discussion, where we can talk about anything from marketing to pricing to vendors to finances.

On Saturday, I'll put your new lighting knowledge to the test as we power through a marathon day of photo sessions.  I book real-life models of all ages, including newborns, babies, toddlers, families, and maternity.  These images will be for your use in your portfolio, on your website, etc., and I'll be there to make sure you all get fabulous shots.

On Sunday, we'll tackle digital workflow and Photoshop.  I'll show you how to manage your digital images, and we'll learn basic Photoshop retouching and even wander into some more advanced techniques.

You'll come away from the weekend with new skills, information, and the confidence you'll need to get going on your own when you get home.  Here is what students from past workshops have to say:

Wendie from Nevada:

"I just returned from a workshop this past weekend - Ten for the Weekend. It was worth every single penny! If you are relatively new to the photography business side of things, your eyes will be opened. You can read all the books and message boards you want, but seeing it in person and learning hands-on makes all the difference in the world. Things go from theory to actuality. Autumn is so incredibly open about her business. That openness really helped us all realize that we can do this. It won’t be easy, it’s not all rosy, but it’s possible. I especially appreciated the business planning aspect of our discussions. I went home having a really good idea of how to launch a business and do so profitably. The seminar is very professional but very comfortable. It’s not intimidating, but you will be stretched. You leave with a bunch of new portfolio building shots as well. Can’t beat that!"

Virginia from California:

"I recently attended the 3 day workshop, and had the best time!!! Autumn, is very open about her business and gives you lots of ideas and ways to move your business ahead. I highly recommend going to her for people who are begining a photography business or are looking for ways to enchance your business. I really walked away feeling like I should have paid more for all the information I received and how open she is. Autumn is also very professional and makes sure everyone in the workshop understands no matter what level you are. The workshop was small, the location was perfect, and the food was really really good. I strongly recommend going if you are new to the business, you will walk away feeling confident and excited! I sure did."

Shawnie from Washington:

"I had a wonderful time at this workshop and learned SO much!!  I'm so glad I signed up!"
